Diwali in Trafalagar Square

What a wonderful day at Diwali in Trafalgar Square! Huge thanks to all the scroll carriers who represented their areas from Kew to Southend and to Jane Ford for choreographing the procession. The sun shone on the huge crowd and the scrolls looked amazing against the backdrop of heritage buildings accompanied by colourful dancers from the Sai School of Dance and drummers from the London School of Dhol.

See the ITV news coverage of the event HERE.  And our post-event press release HERE

It’s a day we won’t forget in a hurry!

Thanks to:

  • Ranu Mehta-Radia  and the Sai School of Dance
  • Jay and the London School of Dhol

And all those who carried scrolls and helped rig and de-rig as follows:
Jamie Jenkins, Lucy Thurley, Fabiola Retamozo, Susanna Wallis, Mike Ostler, Ali Pretty, Tanya Outen, Kate Withstandley, Carole Gosal, Amerdeep Hunjan, Raj Jhamat, Les Morgan, Sue Morgan, Leslie Robinson, Margaret Hall, Jacci Todd, Jane Ford, Gordon Parker, Colin Saunders, Neil, Peter Aylmer, Steve Shaw, Sally Chinnea and Hazel Huber.
