Silk River Film Screening and Panel Discussion at BFI
Wednesday 13 September 2017 13:30
NFT3, BFI Southbank, Belvedere Road, South Bank, London SE1 8XT

Have you booked your free place? Booking info on BFI website.

The Q and A for the film screening will be facilitated by Adrian Evans – Totally Thames festival director in conversation with film director Steve Shaw, and Kinetika’s Artistic Director Ali Pretty.

There will be a representative from each of the 10 locations from Kew Gardens to Southend who will respond to what being a part of Silk River has meant to them:

  • Has the project enabled their community to perceive their connection to the Thames any differently?
  • What have they learnt about their neighbours along the Estuary, and their partners in West Bengal along the Hooghly?
  • How can the Silk River model be developed and replicated to empower communities along the Estuary to work together and strengthen their sense of place in a wider world?

Come along and be part of the discussion!

Free screening, but tickets must be booked in advance via the BFI box office, either in person or on 020 7928 3232.
