Everyone is invited to a screening of the SILK RIVER documentary!
Date/Time: Thursday 1st June 6.30pm
Venue: The Brady Centre, Hanbury Street, London E1 5HU
Nearest station is Whitechapel.
The film documents the work of Ali Pretty and a team of UK artists working with a team of Indian artists to produce ten large silk flags during a residential workshop in Murshidabad, a district 100 miles north of Kolkata.
This area has a long historical and cultural relationship with the UK, from the days of the East India Company to today.
Documentary is 36 minutes.
